What is Missing in Your Video Marketing?

by Ket-Sang Tai

Video Marketing is an essential part of any online social media marketing campaign.  There are at least 30 if not more video sites on the internet right now. The most frustrating thing about video marketing is not getting the exposure or views after spending hours making a good video.

What is missing? In my opinion, there are 3 key elements of Video Marketing.

1. Good Quality Videos

Your videos are your online asset. A good video will generate endless traffic for you 24/7 for a long time. Therefore it is important to get it right. Don’t try to do a video in a rush because you have to get it done. You got to spend time doing keyword research, finding out the gap in the market and getting your mindset right before you film a video. A good video doesn’t have to be flashy or in HD or anything like that. More importantly, it has to offer good value and content.

2. Distribution

YouTube is the most popular video site and it has a lot of traffic. However, to increase your exposure, it is advisable to submit your videos to other sites. Think about it that way, you have already spent a good amount of time making a video, why not make the most out of it? You can submit your videos manually to each site, but there are softwares or applications out there which let you do it simultaneously to various sites. The one I use is Traffic Geyser. You can try it free for 30 days.

3. Promote Your Videos via Networking

A lot of the video sites are also social network themselves. You can add friends, subscribe to other people’s channel and comment on other people’s videos. This is a great way to promote your videos. You can also promote your video on other social networks like Facebook and Twitter. I use a software called TubeBlasterPro which let me add YouTube friends and subscribe to channels which fit certain criteria automatically. This saves me a lot of time.

If any of these 3 elements is lacking, your video marketing is unlikely to be successful. So give it a good thought and try to implement the strategies.
