My Social Media Marketing Strategies

People often ask me how do I do social media marketing. I have covered this topic briefly in one of my YouTube videos. To make it even clearer, I am going to use a little diagram to illustrate my points.


First of all, I do not use social media to drive traffic to my sale page. I break my social marketing strategies to the following steps:

1. Use Twitter, Facebook and YouTube to drive traffic to my blog.

My blog serves as a hub where people can get to know more about me and what I do. On my blog, I have information about my business and what I sell. I also try to provide good content to my readers. You got to give before you take.

2. Visitors enter my sale funnel.

Once my visitors click on a link to my sale page, they will have to opt in to get more information. I also have an opt in form on my blog as you can see. They are more likely to opt in after they read more about you on your blog. That is also why I don’t point them to my sale page directly from social media.

3. Follow up.

The visitors have now turned into leads/prospects. They will receive autoresponder emails from me on a regular basis, providing more great content and information about products I have to offer.

4. After sale/No sale.

If they pruchase any product from me and hopefully they will like it, they will then feedback to me or recommend it to other people via social media. If they don’t buy from me, they will still receive useful content from me via autoresponder emails, until they decide to opt out.

5. Repeat sale.

Now that they are in my list and I have built a relationship with them, I can recommend other products to them in the future.

These 5 steps basically sum up what I do with social media. There are many books and articles around which you can read. Social media is gaining huge momentum and whether you like it or not, it is going to stay. If you are in marketing, you have no choice but to learn more about it.
