Maakoa

Fearlessly marketing …  healthcare products?

The MLM area is full of companies selling various health products. We have reviewed some of them here, and will be doing it from now on and observed the similarities. However, for each of them we are aiming to get the answer for one simple question: ” what makes the difference”. So let us see what difference, if any, does Maakoa make in the health-oriented MLM market we have today.

The company is based in Orem, Utah. Being US based business, it might not be only a pretty coincidence that the CEO, Bruce Davis chose to launch Maakoa on 4th of July 2009. Maakoa’s team seems very optimistic about the success of their product and their marketing methods. This might be an explanation of why they chose the name of Maakoa for a name: the word means “fearless”.

The main characters in the management team are Bruce Davis (founder and CEO) and David Simpson (VP of Operations). Bruce Davis was introduced to the MLM business while he was offering software infrastructure for such companies.

Maakoa’s flagship product, Koopuwa, is made of what seems to be the latest craze on US fruit market: Cupuaçu. The fruit is well known in the Amazon Brazil’s tropical rainforest and it has been shown to stimulate the immune system, to generate healthier skin and hair, to help maintain healthy cholesterol levels, to neutralize free radicals in the body and much more. This beverage also contains fruits and fruit concentrates as Açai berries, apples, red grapes, pears, wolfberries and others. This combination of fruits, with the additions of vitamins and minerals and with a low amount of calories makes this product ideal for day-by-day use by any person that wants to ease their health problems. Or at least that is what Maakoa is saying.

The next two products are designed for the fitness market. MXP3 Lean Protein is made for customers that would like to lose weight. MXP3 Lean helps control the appetite and cravings by using Hi-maize® and LuraLean®, both being dietary products. The other one, MPX3 Build Protein, helps building muscular mass and it has been designed for those who want to have lean and strong muscles. Both of these products come as powders.

On the Maakoa websites is also available a recruiting tool called Taste of Success Kit. This is basically a package that contains samples of their 3 products and the “Maakoa Experience DVD”.

Maakoa has a two-legged compensation plan, where you earn 10% commission on the volume of your lesser leg. This is called Team Commissions and they are paid weekly. To be able to receive those 10% you have to have 100 personal volume and have at least 2 personally enrolled and active IBOs (independent business owners). They also offer a fast start bonus (paid weekly) for IBOs when they help new enrollees start their own business and is based on the consistency at which IBOs help new IBOs start their businesses.

The matching bonuses available here vary according to the 6 ranks available (Silver Director to Diamond Elite), each rank adding a level to his downline. This is to say that a Silver Director will only get a matching bonus for his first level, the Gold Director will go down 2 levels and so on, while a Diamond Elite will go down to 6 levels with his matching bonuses.

Maakoa lacks a training strategy for their retailers. This leaves the new enrollees the choice of their marketing strategy: they can exploit the warm market like 98% of the MLM entrepreneurs (hoping they will not fail like that majority, nonetheless) or go for the gold and understand the online marketing principles, build a solid network and actually make money.

To sum up and answer our initial question, we can say Maakoa does come with the type of challenging compensation plan that might attract the competition-driven types. It also provides a marketable set of products and an energetic approach towards selling them. What remains for you to fill in is the actual knowledge of how to utilize these offers in order to get a real profit. By accessing this link you can start filling this gap the efficient way.
